Looking downstream, before construction

View from west bank, showing “notched” sheet piling. Streamflow is 75 cfs at Ames.

Rather than cut a notch, Lund simply drove one of the sheet pilings down another 7/10 of a foot.

Some additional armoring was placed on the bank at both ends of the dam.

A new landing above the dam, river-right. Additional rock was placed on August 1st.

Story City volunteers are creating a landing further upstream, to be used by people floating to Story City from the bible camp.

The dam has been a very poplular spot for portraits - and apparently remains so!
